Most of the time, I don’t think we realize we’re the problem that irritates us the most.
As a highly sensitive person (hsp), I can often think about the impact of what’s happening to me without remembering that my response + thought life are linked. It can lead to a lot of blindspots, surrounding yourself with those who feed your perspective without checking it.
Many times, it’s the smallest things that don’t seem worth addressing, but I think this is where the smallest things have the potential to grow into deep roots in our character and become incredibly difficult to remove/replace when we’re ready to be different; better.
In less than 48 hours, I saw my general practitioner, massage therapist and chiropractor. Every single one of these women said the same thing. “Regina, you need to hydrate.”
At the chiropractor (the last of the three visits), we began talking about my upcoming trip and that the water there is undrinkable. We began going back and forth - outraged that there are still people on the planet who don’t have clean drinking water.
I went on to say how this is not just in far away places that take two flights and almost 23 hours to get to. This is happening here in our homeland, in our first world superpower country.
